- Export your dataGo to Settings and open Data export. Download the CSV files you want to keep.
- Cancel a paid subscriptionIf the workspace is on a paid plan, cancel it in Billing with "Open billing portal" first.
- Open workspace settingsGo to Settings and open the Workspace tab.
- Confirm the workspace nameUnder "Delete this workspace", type the workspace name exactly.
- DeleteChoose "Delete workspace permanently". Only the owner can do this.
You can download your data at any time and delete a workspace when you no longer need it. Cancelling a plan never deletes data; deletion is a separate action that only the workspace owner can take.
Export your data
Go to Settings → Data export. Exports are CSV files that include only the data you are allowed to see and that is still retained on your plan. Times are UTC in RFC 3339 format. Pick a Range in your local time, then download:
- Monitor configuration (CSV): every monitor's settings. Secret references and request headers are not included. This file can be re-imported unchanged.
- Availability per monitor (CSV): availability, coverage, latency and incident figures for the range, up to 731 days.
- Incidents (CSV): incidents in a range of 31 days or less, or tick All retained incidents.
- Raw check results (CSV): for one monitor or all monitors, in a range of 31 days or less, up to 100,000 rows per file.
If an export is refused as too large, narrow the range or pick a single monitor. The CLI can also export monitors: monctl export monitors > monitors.csv.
How long data is kept
Retention depends on the plan. Raw check results are kept for 24 hours on Free, 72 hours on Starter and 7 days on Team. Aggregated uptime and latency history is kept for 30, 180 and 395 days, and incidents for 7, 90 and 365 days. Export regularly if you need longer records.
Delete the workspace
Deleting removes every monitor, incident, status page, destination and report in the workspace, for all members. It cannot be undone. Before you start:
- Export anything you want to keep.
- Cancel a paid subscription in Billing. A paid subscription must be cancelled before the workspace can be deleted.
- Update any cron jobs or CI pipelines that call heartbeat URLs or the API, because they will stop working.
Then go to Settings → Workspace. Under Delete this workspace, type the workspace name exactly as shown and choose Delete workspace permanently. Only the workspace owner sees this option.
Your account and other workspaces
Deleting a workspace does not delete your sign-in account or other workspaces you belong to. To create a new one, use + New workspace in the sidebar.
