- Change the passwordUnder Password, choose "Change password", enter the Current password and the New password twice.

You sign in to Uptime Tracker with your email address and a password, plus an authenticator code if you turned on two-factor authentication. One account can belong to several workspaces.
Create an account
On the sign-in page choose Create account, enter your Email address and a password. We email a confirmation link that works once, for 24 hours. The account exists only after you open it, and opening it signs you in.
Password rules
- 10 to 128 characters. A passphrase of a few words works well.
- It must not be your email address.
- Passwords are stored as salted Argon2id hashes; nobody at Uptime Tracker can read them.
Forgot your password
- On the sign-in page, choose Forgot your password?.
- Enter your email address and choose Email me a reset link.
- Open the link within 30 minutes, enter a New password and choose Save password and sign in.
Resetting signs you out on every other device. Accounts created before passwords existed use this same flow once to set a password.
Change your password
- Go to Settings. The Account tab opens.
- Under Password, choose Change password.
- Enter the Current password, then the New password and Confirm new password.
- Choose Save new password. Every other device is signed out; this browser stays signed in.
If the panel shows Not set, your account predates passwords: fill in the new password twice and choose Set a password.
Signed-in sessions
The Signed-in sessions table lists every browser that is signed in, with when it signed in, when it was last active and when it expires. A session lasts 30 days. The one marked This browser is the one you are using. Choose Sign out next to any session you do not recognise, or Sign out here to end the current one. Sessions carry no device details, so if in doubt, change your password: that signs out everything else at once.
Account activity
Account activity on the same tab lists security events for your account, such as sign-ins, password changes and two-factor changes. Account events are kept for 365 days.
Troubleshooting
- "Too many failed sign-ins; wait 15 minutes or reset your password": after 10 wrong passwords for one address within 15 minutes, sign-in is paused for that address. A password reset works immediately.
- "Too many emails for this address; try again later": at most 5 sign-up or reset emails are sent per address every 15 minutes.
- The confirmation or reset link says it is invalid or expired: links work once, sign-up links for 24 hours and reset links for 30 minutes. Request a new one.
- No email arrived: check spam, and allow-list
