SMS alerts are paid from a prepaid wallet that belongs to the workspace. You add money, and each SMS is charged at the destination country's price when the SMS provider accepts it. There is never automatic overage: when the balance is too low, that SMS is simply not sent. The wallet is on the Starter and Team plans. Voice calls are not offered.

Who can do what

  • Only the workspace owner can buy packages and add funds, and only on a paid plan (Starter or Team).
  • Owners, admins and billing managers can set the monthly spending cap.
  • Members with access to Billing can see the balance and activity.

Read the wallet

  • Balance: money available, with an estimate of how many SMS it covers for the selected country.
  • Reserved: money held for messages being sent right now. It is settled when the provider accepts the message, or released if it does not.
  • Spent this month: SMS charges since the start of the month, and the cap if you set one.

Buy an SMS package

  1. Under SMS packages, use Search countries and choose the Country you mostly send SMS to. Each country shows its price per SMS.
  2. Choose Buy 50 SMS, Buy 100 SMS or Buy 250 SMS. The price is the number of messages times that country's rate.
  3. Confirm the payment on the payment provider's page.

A package adds its price to the wallet as money, not as a message count. It is spent per message at each country's rate, so it also covers numbers in other countries.

Add a custom amount

Enter a Custom top-up amount (USD) between $10 and $500 and choose Add funds. After paying you return to Billing; the balance changes once the payment provider confirms the payment, usually within a minute.

Set a monthly spending cap

Enter a Monthly spending cap (USD) and choose Save cap. Once the month's SMS charges reach the cap, SMS delivery stops until the next month. Leave the field empty and save to remove the cap.

Wallet activity

The table at the bottom lists the 50 most recent top-ups and charges, with the amount and the balance after each one.

When the balance runs out

  • The SMS for that alert is not sent. The Deliveries tab under Integrations shows "prepaid SMS balance too low (or monthly cap reached)" with a link to top up.
  • The SMS destination stays enabled, and your other destinations still receive the alert.
  • Verification codes for new SMS destinations are charged too, so a new number cannot be verified with an empty wallet.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is the wallet charged automatically?

No. It only spends money you added. There is no automatic top-up and no overage billing.

Can a package bought for one country be used for another?

Yes. A package adds money to the wallet, which is spent at each destination country's rate.

Who can add money to the wallet?

The workspace owner, on Starter or Team. Admins and billing managers can set the monthly cap.

Is the wallet shared between my workspaces?

No. Each workspace has its own wallet.
